Cassidy
Preston
Spanish |
|
Cassidy Preston has
been involved with Spectrum Languages since 2001
when, as a Spectrum Languages student, she
co-founded Spectrum Outreach, a non-profit student
volunteer organization that provides services to
underprivileged Hispanic communities in Southern
California and around the world. As a result of her
work with Spectrum Outreach throughout countries
such as Peru, Ecuador, and Spain, Cassidy developed
her passion for travel and her fascination with
different cultures. The Spanish skills she obtained
working with Spectrum encouraged Cassidy to go on
and live in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she
attended Universidad de Belgrano. In addition, she
traveled throughout Chile, Uruguay, and Brazil,
which exposed her to a broad sampling of South
American society. From her own experience as a
previous Spectrum Languages student in Orange
County, Cassidy is a testament to what good
instruction combined with determination and passion
for helping people can do. With a degree in
Political Science and minor in Spanish from UCLA,
Cassidy hopes to continue promoting her passion as
the new Spectrum Languages director of the South
Bay/ Palos Verdes area. |
